Somboon Saesor, lecturer at Phuket’s Peranakan Association and a first-generation Peranakan, turned her small roadside food stall into a restaurant in 1995. Nowadays, the matriarch’s granddaughter, Ratanavalee Saeton, is at the helm to continue the family’s legacy.
